This week flew by and crawled at a snails pace simultaneously. This morning I got up early and have been enjoying the quiet wintery fog outside.
A friend introduced to Of a Kind a few weeks ago (where have I been?, I know) and I couldn't resist scooping up this beautiful Lo & Sons Weekender bag. I've been a fan of the dove grey Catalina Weekender for a while now, and when I saw the sweet blue & white ikat print one I snapped it up. Looking forward to many great getaways with this bag. Also - how neat is this ceramic gilded eye mug?
I want to recreate this entire breakfast/lunch/dinner post from Bleubird - doesn't it look like the perfect weekend meal? I just learned how to roast a chicken at home and was surprised by how easy it can be - plus it feeds us for the entire week since it is just the two of us.
Friday night we went to a party at the ranch to celebrate the homecoming of the new Arabian, Henry. He is a beautiful chestnut color and from what I'm told has a magnificent croup and a propensity for trotting the way he should in show. We drank wine out at the barn and watched as Dee and Henry got to know each other.
Today we are off to Houston to celebrate an upcoming wedding with friends from college. I'm looking forward to sleeping in and ordering room service tomorrow morning at our hotel. If we wake up early enough we might try to make it back to Austin for the Zilker park kite festival.
Enjoy the weekend!
